It's magic the artistically inclined electronic trio from Exeter summoned with what can only be seen as one of the most exciting as well as melodiously arresting musical genre-blends recently put out there. The bizarre, suspensefully flickering visual surrealism applied in the music video for 'Sweet Thursday' is as fascinating as the lush and colourful sound it goes with. Dazzling images, erratic illusions, tempting thrills, all on show - while the vid's entranced protagonist loses his touch to reality, bit by bit (quite literally), the listener can get lost in the song's mesmerizingly immersive soundscapes, in the moody, erratically flashing frames, too.
If you allow it, at last, elusive but on-point synth sounds will cast a spell on you and so will Alex' voice, mellow and emotive in tone, sure spellbinding on its own and merged with playfully pulsing and symphonically soaring sonic spheres.
And Pattern Pusher? Well, they push boundaries already with the video above; its corresponding single, along the way, prooves to be something else, and that in the best way imaginable.
