With 'Love, Lust, Loss' set to be released in autumn 2015, sheffield indie force, the SSS give a vibrant foretaste of what to expect from their musical debut: confidently controlled, infectious instrumental frenzy and passionately powerful vocal glow.
Rhythmically fickle and feisty in style, 'Eighteen' combines boisterous melodic motion and vividly alluring lyrical appeal without frills; drawn into a sensual and suspenseful musical novella exhaling temptation and emotional thrill, the listener is exposed to ardent vocal energy radiating youthful charm, is smitten with vivaciously boasting instrumental verve. Gritty guitars howl in a furiously fluttering fashion while vigorous and dashing drum volleys flash forcefully, all accentuated by dimly absorbing, firmly commanding bass sonority, all witnessed by a drama-alerted and captivated audience.

After new single 'Mug', echoing in a rough and energetically scattering fashion, as loyal listeners of Elephant Memoirs' music can presumably recall, the thrilling alt-rock triad strikes yet again, this time though with socio-critical four-track EP, 'False Sense Of Security' (2015). Neither lacking the harsh intensity nor the sonorous energy of previous releases, the compilation introduces the audience to the grimly rigorous and tensely moderate melodic ruckus of 'Published In Braille', makes those willing to, enter the fluttery and spiritedly blazing tonal territory of 'Polaroids In My Head'. 'Out Of My Head', however, tempts and tickles the listener's fancy, sound-wise, with gripping rhythmic gravity and moody, rawly roaring instrumentals, excites with an impulsively driven and perkily pushy compositional style, couples boldly staggering and absorbing sound with atmospherically melodious vocals. Admittedly, the EP in it's entirety is no magnum opus of music-making, nonetheless satisfies with its vigorous tonal edge and its artistic authenticity.

While 'Reach Out' marked Seegulls' maiden flight as a band last year, by now the chester-based chord strikers raise into the sonic spheres of indie rock more daringly, with rousing confidence and pep also. New musical altitudes have been reached as initial tonal asperity and new found melodic vitality have grown into something compositionally brisk and gripping. Although already praised and played on various radio stations in the UK, the quintet decided to remove all their creative offspring from soundcloud but one song - debut single 'Good Enough' serves as the rock outfit's musical flagship and unmistakably rides the crest of a wave. Orotund and perky vocals waft dynamically, thrillingly rhythmic drum volatility and breezy, jauntily surging guitar play ring in an addictively upbeat fashion that makes it all so easy to be carried away by the song's peppy and vivace tonal spirit. It seems as if the group of five doesn't settle for 'good enough' as their music's label, but aim at bigger attributes - rightly so!
